It was top against third in the Premier League on Sunday as Liverpool welcomed Manchester City to Anfield.
The home side were 2-0 ahead at the interval following goals from Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel.
City were back on terms after 63 minutes following a strike from David Silva and an own goal from Glen Johnson.
Liverpool secured all the points late on, however, when Philippe Coutinho found the bottom corner from outside the box.
