Report: Chelsea consider Martin Caceres swoop

Martin Caceres of Juventus celebrates after scoring his opening goal during the Serie A match between AC Chievo Verona and Juventus FC at Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on August 30, 2014
A report claims that Chelsea want to sign former Juventus defender Martin Caceres on a free transfer.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly considering a swoop for free agent Martin Caceres.

The 29-year-old, who is also believed to be attracting the attention of AC Milan and Inter Milan, is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Juventus at the end of last season.

Caceres suffered a serious Achilles injury in February 2016 but has since returned to fitness, and according to Calciomercato.com, Conte wants to sign the versatile defender who he worked with at Juventus.

The Uruguay international has only made 23 first-team appearances over the last two seasons, but won five Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns during his time in Turin.
