Real Betis announce Pepe Mel return

Real Betis announce that former manager Pepe Mel has agreed to return to the team.

Real Betis have announced that Pepe Mel will return to the club's coaching staff next week.

The La Liga side have been without a manager since Julio Velazquez was fired last month, with B team coach Juan Merino in charge of the first team in the interim.

However, the team confirmed today that Mel will return to the club as manager on Monday, just over a year after being sacked by Betis.

Mel had a brief spell in charge at West Bromwich Albion following his dismissal last December, but he left the Baggies in the summer.
