Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo talks up a potential return to Barcelona, who are reportedly monitoring the 20-year-old's progress.

Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo has talked up a potential return to Barcelona.

The 20-year-old spent seven years with Barcelona during his youth career before joining Dinamo Zagreb in 2014.

Olmo has since made 84 first-team appearances for the Croatian club, scoring 18 times in the process. This season, meanwhile, the attacker has managed four goals and seven assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the attacker, but Barcelona are also believed to be closely monitoring his progress with the view to a potential return.

Olmo has insisted that he does not regret leaving Camp Nou, but has refused to rule out a switch back to the club.

"I still follow Barcelona and I'm really happy for my friend Carles Alena to be playing," Olmo told Diario Sport. "They're having a good season but Barca are Barca - they expect to be winning games and titles.

"I have no regrets that I left the club, it was a very tough decision but it was a big leap for me and I have adapted really well. I will always be a fan and having spent seven years at the club I have great affection for them, and they are one of the best clubs in the world.

"What player would want to rule out signing for the club, we will see what happens in the future but I do not want to close any doors. My future is the subject for my agent, I will focus on my football."

Dinamo are believed to value Olmo, who is capable of playing in a number of different positions in the final third of the field, at £21.8m.
