Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up for their La Liga showdown with Getafe on Thursday evening.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman may be tempted to tinker with his side for their midweek La Liga showdown against Getafe at Camp Nou.

Backup goalkeeper Neto is one of four injury concerns for the hosts as he recuperates following an ankle sprain, but Marc-Andre ter Stegen is in no danger of losing his place in goal.

The injury-plagued Gerard Pique forced his way into Koeman's back three for their 4-0 Copa del Rey final win over Athletic Bilbao, but Ronald Araujo may be given the nod alongside Clement Lenglet and Oscar Mingueza if no risks are taken over Pique's fitness.

Sergi Roberto is also pushing for inclusion over Sergino Dest, but the former Ajax man should continue on the right-hand side for this game, while Jordi Alba is assured of a place on the left after claiming two assists in the Copa del Rey final.

One of those assists was for Frenkie de Jong's header, and the Dutchman - who also claimed two assists on the night - is expected to form a familiar midfield trio alongside Pedri and Sergio Busquets.

Ousmane Dembele is pining for a start amid speculation surrounding contract talks, but Koeman should keep his faith in Antoine Griezmann up top for this midweek encounter, while Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho are long-term absentees and Martin Braithwaite has sprained an ankle.

Lionel Messi will hope to avoid a fourth consecutive home game without a goal against Getafe, but his 23 strikes in the 2020-21 La Liga campaign is more than the entire Azulones team (22).
