Barcelona forward Luis Suarez's prolific record vs. Real Betis

Sports Mole looks at Luis Suarez's prolific record against Real Betis ahead of Barcelona's La Liga visit to the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Sunday.

Barcelona will continue their treble bid this weekend when they return to domestic action away to Real Betis in La Liga.

The champions look on course to defend their title with a seven-point lead at the top of the table, while they remain in both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League too.

As ever, Luis Suarez is expected to lead the line when Barcelona look to march on at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Sunday, with the Uruguayan having scored 17 goals in the league so far this season.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how he has fared against Betis in the past.

Suarez's strike rate against Betis is among the best of his career, directly contributing to 11 goals in just six meetings, scoring nine himself and creating two more.

Indeed, until the reverse fixture this season - which Betis won 4-3 at Camp Nou - Suarez had scored in every single one of his games against the Seville outfit.

The Uruguayan scored three times against Betis in his debut season with Barcelona before going one better with four the following campaign, including a hat-trick in a 6-2 win at Camp Nou on the opening day.

Arguably his finest game against this weekend's opponents came on his most recent visit to the Benito Villamarin, though, when he scored two and created two more in a 5-0 victory last season.

Suarez has scored on all three of his previous visits to Betis and will be desperate to maintain that 100% record this weekend.
