Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that his club have not received any offers for unsettled forward Alexis Sanchez this summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that his club have not received any offers for Alexis Sanchez this summer.

Sanchez, 28, has less than 12 months remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, and it has been widely reported that the Chile international will look to leave the Gunners ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Wenger, however, has insisted that Arsenal have not received an offer for the forward, despite suggestions that Manchester City and Bayern Munich are both interested in his services.

"The players have contracts and we expect them to respect their contracts. That's what we want," Wenger told reporters.

When asked whether a bid had arrived for Sanchez, who scored 30 goals last season, Wenger said: "No. I think the easiest way to manage a player is in the final year of his contract. It is in his interest to do as well as he can.

"Nobody knows today if Sanchez will be on his final year of his contract next season, because he can extend his contract with us at the start of the season or during the season. So it is not necessarily the last year of his contract at Arsenal football club."

Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also both in the final 12 months of their contracts with the Gunners.
