Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not push through a move to Chelsea unless his £65,000-a-week wages are more than doubled, according to a report.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly informed Chelsea that he will not push through an Arsenal exit unless his wage demands are met in full.

The versatile midfielder has been tipped to join the Blues in recent weeks after entering the final 12 months of his existing Emirates Stadium contract.

According to Goal.com, however, Oxlade-Chamberlain wants £150,000 a week in wages, which is more than double his current £65,000 salary in North London.

Chelsea are said to be preparing a £35m bid to test Arsenal's resolve, with the 24-year-old willing to bide his time and weigh up his options.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger declared on Wednesday morning that he remains confident of keeping former Southampton star Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
