Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has said that his side do speak about their form after games, following their 2-0 win over AC Milan in Italy.

The Gunners' Europa League first-leg victory was a solid response to the previous week, which saw Arsenal lose in the final of the EFL Cup and suffer two damaging defeats in their Premier League top-four chase.

Ahead of Arsenal's match against Watford on Sunday, Iwobi told reporters that the players "lead by example" when it comes to answering for poor results.

"I know the players – and they lead by example in the team," the 21-year-old said. "Obviously, people in the media speak a lot when things aren't going right, but we, as players, do communicate with each other.

"Maybe it doesn't come across as being loud on the pitch – and you don't see it as much – but we do speak when things aren't going as well as planned. We know we can do better in defence and better in attack.

"The key thing is to find a way to defend and attack all together. We have to work on that, we know that, and we have been trying to do that so, hopefully, we will be able to show signs of that togetherness soon."

Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table, 11 points behind Chelsea in fifth ahead of the club's match against the Hornets.
