Marcelino has reportedly emerged as a potential replacement for AC Milan manager Marco Giampaolo.
Despite only moving to San Siro in the summer, Giampaolo has come under increasing pressure, with a report claiming that the Italian was almost sacked at half time of Saturday's fixture with Genoa.
However, while Milan fought back to record a dramatic 2-1 victory to take their points tally to nine from seven matches, it appears that the club's hierarchy are still ready to make a change in the dugout.
According to AS, Milan are considering replacing Giampaolo with Marcelino after the 54-year-old was recently sacked as boss of Spanish side Valencia.
Marcelino has forged a strong reputation in recent years, as well as winning the Copa del Rey in May, although the former midfielder has spent his entire playing and managerial career in his homeland.body check tags ::
