Marcelino has reportedly emerged as a potential replacement for AC Milan manager Marco Giampaolo.
Despite only moving to San Siro in the summer, Giampaolo has come under increasing pressure, with a report claiming that the Italian was almost sacked at half time of Saturday's fixture with Genoa.
However, while Milan fought back to record a dramatic 2-1 victory to take their points tally to nine from seven matches, it appears that the club's hierarchy are still ready to make a change in the dugout.
According to AS, Milan are considering replacing Giampaolo with Marcelino after the 54-year-old was recently sacked as boss of Spanish side Valencia.
Marcelino has forged a strong reputation in recent years, as well as winning the Copa del Rey in May, although the former midfielder has spent his entire playing and managerial career in his homeland.
