Lady Colin Campbell reveals that she is hoping for a stint on Strictly Come Dancing in order to help pay for the upkeep of her Sussex castle.

Lady Colin Campbell has said that she is keen to join the lineup for this year's Strictly Come Dancing in order to help pay the bills.

The 70-year-old royal biographer purchased the Grade I-listed Castle Goring in Sussex in 2013 and has since embarked upon a career in the entertainment industry to help fund the running of the building, which she also hires out for wedding ceremonies.

Lady C had a memorably pugnacious stint on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Here! in 2015 and has also appeared on E4's Celebs Go Dating - and is now eyeing up the BBC's flagship autumn show.

"I will consider anything that pays enough to assist with the running of Castle Goring," she told The Express. "I make no bones about it. I do all the public appearances, I do them purely for Castle Goring.

"That's why I say I'm 'Whoring for Goring' because if it wasn't for Goring, you wouldn't see me for dust except when I write a book.

"I keep my private life, private, and always have."

Last month Lady C published a tell-all book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.
