Result: Great Britain's Rebecca Gallantree remains on course at World Championships

Great Britain's Rebecca Gallantree qualifies for the semi-final stage of the women's 3m diving event at the World Championships in Kazan.

He Zi has qualified for the women's 3m diving semi-final in first place at the FINA World Championships in Kazan.

The 24-year-old was forced to settle for bronze in the 1m event earlier this week, but she remains on course to add another gold to her collection this afternoon.

He's total of 376.00 was enough to see her past compatriot Shi Tingmao, who herself missed out on top spot in the 1m diving competition to Italy's Tania Cagnotto.

Third was claimed by Jennifer Abel of Canada, meanwhile, and Great Britain's Rebecca Gallantree also made the cut after finishing the preliminary round in 13th place, fresh on the back of mixed team gold on Wednesday evening.

· Reigning two-time Olympic champion Andy Murray starts his title defence against Canadian hotshot Felix Auger-Aliassime (7am approx.)
