Team Sky rider Geraint Thomas will return to action for the Revolution Track Series in November.

The Welshman will compete at the Velodrome in London, where he helped Great Britain take Olympic gold in the team pursuit in 2012.

"It will be my first time back to the Velodrome since the Olympic Games so it's going to be a bit surreal but I'm really looking forward to it," BBC Sport quotes Thomas as saying. "It's great that I can represent Team Sky on the track and try and help them in the elite championship."

Earlier this month, Thomas withdrew from the UCI World Road Race Championships in Virginia as he did not feel "physically" ready to compete.

Round two of the series will get underway on November 14, while round three will be held in Glasgow on November 28.
