Result: Aleksandar Drenovak outlasts Marlo Delgado Suarez

Serbia's Aleksandar Drenovak sees off Ecuador's Marlo Delgado Suarez in the middleweight class.

Serbia's Aleksandar Drenovak has withstood a late stand by Ecuador's Marlo Delgado Suarez to advance into the second round of the middleweight class.

Delgado quickly gained the advantage in the first round, dazzling with a couple of combinations to take a 4-3 lead.

The Ecuadorian then found Drenovak wanting with a right hook to the head, before landing to the body with two scoring punches.

However, Drenovak responded well by landing a body shot of his own as the two fighters exchanged blows throughout the second round.

The Serb bagan to build up a head of steam and took a 7-6 lead as the fight neared its conclusion.

Delgado landed a heavy right hand as Drenovak's defence slackened and the Ecuadorian started to work well on the inside.

A massive uppercut then stunned Drenovak as the fight looked to be slipping from his grasp.

The decision could have gone either way, but it was Drenovak who squeaked through by one point.
