New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady praises his side's mental resilience after they won Super Bowl XLIX.

Quarterback Tom Brady has said that "mental toughness" was the key as his New England Patriots side won Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots trailed by 10 points as they entered the fourth quarter, but two touchdown passes from Brady were enough to give his side the win.

On the winners' podium, he said: "A lot of mental toughness [helped us to win], our team has had it all year and we never doubted each other so I'm just so happy for our team.

"We knew they were good at defense, they take advantage of a lot of bad offensive football and for the most part we played pretty good. Our defense I mean, what can you say about them making a play at the end of the game, it was incredible. It was a great win."

Brady and the Patriots have now won four Super Bowls.
