Judy Murray, Jack Sock launch search for Wimbledon towel boy

Judy Murray and Jack Sock ask fans to find out the identity of the boy who had the tennis player's towel taken from his grasp during a match at Wimbledon.

Judy Murray and Jack Sock have launched a search to find the boy who had the American's towel taken from his grasp during a match at Wimbledon.

The world number 18 threw his towel into the crowd following his four-set win over Christian Garin on Tuesday after the unidentified boy gestured for it.

However, the souvenir was ripped from his hands by a man wearing a white hat, following a brief tug-of-war for the item.

The older man has been criticised on social media for seizing the towel, while the fan who lost out has received sympathetic messages from fans.

Murray said the man should be "ashamed" of his actions, while Sock asked fans to let him know the boy's name and said he would be providing him with a replacement towel.

The 24-year-old Nebraskan will take on Austria's Sebastian Ofner in their second-round clash on Thursday.
