How Manchester United could line up with Raul Jimenez

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up if they sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez.

Manchester United are thought to be keen to bring a new centre-forward to the club this summer.

Anthony Martial has enjoyed an impressive campaign through the middle, while the Red Devils have extended Odion Ighalo's loan stay at the club until at least January 2021.

However, the 20-time English champions are still believed to be interested in signing another striker, and Wolverhampton Wanderers's Raul Jimenez has been strongly linked with a move.

A recent report from Portugal claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are closing in on a deal for the Mexico international, who has scored 26 times and registered 10 assists in 53 outings at club level this term.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how United could line up next season if they bring the powerful attacker to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

POSS UTD XI JIM

It is incredibly difficult to leave Martial out of this XI considering that the Frenchman has scored 22 times in all competitions this season, including 17 goals in 32 Premier League outings.

Jimenez's arrival could make the Frenchman even better, though, and there are certainly matches where the alleged transfer target would be the better option due to his physical presence.

A deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho is likely to occur this summer, with the England international potentially taking on the club's number seven shirt and slotting into the right-sided attacking position.

Martial could battle Marcus Rashford for a spot on the left if Jimenez arrives, which could again see both players take their games to new levels in a bid to make sure of a place in the first XI.

The Wolves forward would also give United a serious aerial threat, and Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba are certainly capable of producing telling passes in the final third of the field.

The Red Devils will need to boost their squad this summer if they are to challenge for trophies next season and signing a player who has netted 43 goals in 97 appearances for Wolves over the last two campaigns would certainly improve Solskjaer's options.
