Manchester City could attempt to sign Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester City could reportedly make a move for Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix this summer as the English outfit look to sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

The club's all-time leading goalscorer is out of contract at the end of June, and it appears likely that the Argentina international will leave the Etihad Stadium on a free transfer.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland continue to be linked with moves to Pep Guardiola's side, but according to Eurosport, Felix has emerged as a genuine option.

The report claims that Man City were keen on the Portugal international before he joined Atletico from Benfica in 2019, and the Citizens could now be ready to reignite their interest.

The 21-year-old has scored 10 times in 31 appearances for Diego Simeone's side during the 2020-21 campaign, including seven goals in 23 La Liga outings to help the capital giants to the top of the table.

Felix, who has a contract at Wanda Metropolitano until June 2026, has scored 19 times in 67 outings for Atletico in all competitions.
