Sports Mole looks at all of the major permutations around Europe ahead of a weekend which includes the final days in England, Germany, Portugal and Netherlands.

The upcoming weekend promises to be one of the most exciting, and certainly one of the most decisive, matchdays of the 2022-23 season as a number of top leagues around Europe bring the curtain down on another captivating campaign.

After a 10-month season split in half by the winter World Cup in Qatar, the Premier League, Bundesliga, Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, Scottish Premiership and Women's Super League all come to an end this weekend, and there is plenty still to be decided.

Two relegation places remain unfilled in the Premier League, the Portuguese title race has unexpectedly gone down to the final day between two bitter rivals, while in Germany pretty much everything is still up for grabs with the title to be decided and four teams still in danger of relegation.

On top of that, titles and relegations could also be confirmed with a game to spare in France and Italy.

Here, Sports Mole runs through the permutations for all of this weekend's action from around the top leagues in Europe.

FRIDAY, MAY 26

LIGUE 1

  • Le Havre will be promoted to Ligue 1 if they win away to Bastia, or if Metz fail to win away to Sochaux.

  • Bordeaux, who face Annecy away, will be promoted to Ligue 1 if they better Metz's result.

SATURDAY, MAY 27

BUNDESLIGA

  • Borussia Dortmund will win the title if they win against Mainz 05, or if Bayern Munich fail to win away to Koln.

  • Bayern Munich will win the title if they win and Dortmund fail to win.

  • One of Schalke 04, VfL Bochum, Stuttgart or Augsburg will be relegated.

  • Schalke will be relegated if they lose. They will also be relegated if they draw and Bochum avoid defeat, barring a 23-goal Stuttgart defeat too. Schalke will also be relegated if they, Bochum and Stuttgart all win and Augsburg record anything other than a defeat which, coupled with Schalke's win, sees a 15-goal swing in goal difference.

  • Bochum will be relegated if they lose and Schalke draw, by virtue of their inferior goal difference. They will also be relegated if Schalke win and Bochum fail to better Stuttgart's result.

  • Stuttgart will be relegated if Schalke and Bochum both win and Stuttgart fail to win. They would also be relegated if they lose, Bochum avoid defeat and Schalke win.

  • Augsburg can only be relegated if they lose, Schalke, Bochum and Stuttgart all win, and there is a 15-goal swing in goal difference between Augsburg and Schalke.

LIGUE 1

  • Paris Saint-Germain will win the title if they avoid defeat away to Strasbourg, or if Lens fail to win at home to Ajaccio.

  • Nantes will be relegated if they lose away to Lille and Auxerre win away to Toulouse.

PRIMEIRA LIGA

  • Benfica, who face Santa Clara, will win the title if they match or better Porto's result against Vitoria de Guimaraes.

  • Porto will win the title if they win and Benfica fail to win. Should Porto win and Benfica draw then the two sides would finish level on points, but Porto would win the title by virtue of their superior head-to-head record.

WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE

  • Chelsea will be crowned champions if they win away to Reading, or if Manchester United fail to win away to Liverpool.

  • Manchester United will be crowned champions if they win and Chelsea lose. They could also be crowned champions if they win by six goals and Chelsea draw.

  • One of Leicester City or Reading will be relegated.

  • Reading will be relegated if they fail to win at home to Chelsea or if Leicester win at Brighton & Hove Albion.

  • Leicester will be relegated if they fail to win and Reading win.

LA LIGA

  • Two of Granada, Las Palmas, Alaves and Levante will be promoted to La Liga. Second-placed Las Palmas are at home against third-placed Alaves.

  • Granada will be promoted if they avoid defeat at home to Leganes. They would also be promoted if they lose and Levante fail to win at home to Real Oviedo.

  • Las Palmas will be promoted if they avoid defeat at home to Alaves.

  • Alaves will be promoted if they win away to Las Palmas.

  • Levante will be promoted if they win at home to Real Oviedo and Granada lose at home to Leganes.

PREMIER LEAGUE

  • Two of Leeds United, Leicester City and Everton will be relegated.

  • Leeds will be relegated if they fail to win at home to Tottenham Hotspur or if either Everton or Leicester win at home against Bournemouth and West Ham United respectively, barring a scenario where Leeds win by nine goals more than Leicester do and Everton draw or lose. They will also be relegated if they win by two goals or fewer and Everton draw, regardless of the Leicester result.

  • Leicester will be relegated if they fail to win at home to West Ham or if Everton win at home to Bournemouth.

  • Everton will be relegated if they fail to win and Leicester win. They would also be relegated if they lose and either Leicester or Leeds win, or if Everton draw, Leicester fail to win and Leeds win by three or more goals.

LA LIGA

  • Espanyol will be relegated if they lose and any two of Getafe, Cadiz and Real Valladolid avoid defeat. They would also be relegated if they draw and Getafe and Cadiz both win, due to Almeria and Real Valladolid playing each other, meaning that one of them is guaranteed to move out of range of Espanyol if Espanyol draw.

SERIE A

  • Hellas Verona will be relegated if Spezia win at home to Torino on Saturday, Verona lose at home to Empoli on Sunday and Lecce avoid defeat away to Monza, also on Sunday.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

  • Dundee United will be relegated unless they win and Ross County lose with an eight-goal swing in goal difference.

BUNDESLIGA

  • One of Heidenheim or Hamburg will be promoted to the Bundesliga.

  • Heidenheim will be promoted if they win, or if Hamburg fail to win.

  • Hamburg will be promoted if they win and Heidenheim fail to win.
