A report claims that Arsenal have made a bid for the services of young Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding.

Bolton Wanderers have reportedly received an offer from Arsenal for their young defender Rob Holding.

The 20-year-old has impressed during his breakthrough campaign at the Macron Stadium, culminating in him being voted the club's Player of the Season.

However, following their relegation to League One, it is expected that Bolton will be forced to cash in on a number of their players.

According to The Sun, that has alerted the Gunners, who lodged a bid on Friday.

The report adds that Holding was subsequently withdrawn from the Bolton squad for the game against Fulham 24 hours later on the request of club officials.

Further speculation has claimed that Everton, Bournemouth and Celtic have also scouted Holding over recent months.
