New Everton manager Marco Silva is reportedly interested in signing England pair Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jack Wilshere, who play for Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.

New Everton manager Marco Silva has reportedly set his sights on signing England midfielders Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jack Wilshere.

Loftus-Cheek, who plays for Chelsea but has recently hit out at his lack of game time at Stamford Bridge, is part of Gareth Southgate's squad at the World Cup.

Arsenal's Wilshere, meanwhile, failed to make the cut for Russia and is soon to be a free agent after rejecting a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.

According to The Mirror, Silva and director of football Marcel Brands are confident that the two players would transform the Toffees into a top-six side.

Everton endured a tricky season last time out, initially struggling but ultimately finishing eighth in the table amid heavy fan criticism of then-manager Sam Allardyce and the club board.
