Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be handed transfer funds to improve his squad this summer, according to a report.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly not in any immediate danger of losing his job as Arsenal boss and will be handed funds to improve the squad during this summer's transfer window.

The Gunners will not play Champions League football next season, while they face a difficult task to secure a spot in the 2021-22 Europa League.

Despite the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, in addition to the losses that will occur if European football is not played next term, Arsenal's owner Stan Kroenke is prepared to back Arteta in this summer's transfer market, according to The Sun.

The report claims that Kroenke will sanction the arrival of 'two or three big players' this summer as he looks to build a bridge with the club's frustrated supporters.

Arsenal are currently 10th in the Premier League table, having picked up just 49 points from their 34 matches during the 2020-21 campaign.

The North London club will finish their domestic season with matches against West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.
