Fourth seed Kei Nishikori registers a straight-sets win over Pablo Andujar to advance through to the third round of the Rogers Cup.

Kei Nishikori has progressed through to the third round of the Rogers Cup with a straight-sets win over Pablo Andujar.

The Japanese, who won in Washington last week, eased past the Spaniard by a 6-3 6-3 scoreline.

The fourth seed broke on three occasions on the way to wrapping up the opening set, but Andujar improved behind his own delivery during the second.

However, a single break of serve was still enough for the Japanese, who moves through to face either David Goffin or Sam Querrey in the last 16.
