Fabio Paratici is reportedly keen to bring Sampdoria's Mikkel Damsgaard to Tottenham Hotspur following his impressive Euro 2020 campaign for Denmark.

Tottenham Hotspur managing director Fabio Paratici is reportedly keen to bring Danish attacker Mikkel Damsgaard to North London this summer.

The Sampdoria man made headlines with his thunderous free kick in Denmark's Euro 2020 semi-final against England at Wembley, but the Scandinavian side ultimately suffered a 2-1 defeat in extra time.

Damsgaard finished the continental championships with two goals and one assist to his name from five matches, though, and he also made a positive impression during his first season in Serie A.

According to Club Doria 46, Paratici tried and failed to bring Damsgaard to Juventus during his stint in Turin, and the Spurs chief is now ready to try again for the 21-year-old this time around.

However, Tottenham will reportedly have to rival Leeds United, Southampton, Crystal Palace and West Ham United for the attacker's signature, and with his contract not due to expire until 2024, Sampdoria can afford to drive a hard bargain.

Damsgaard featured 37 times in all competitions for Sampdoria last season, scoring two goals and assisting four more in Serie A.
