Everton reportedly approach Tottenham Hotspur over a loan move for French midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Everton have reportedly approached Tottenham Hotspur over a loan move for French midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Sissoko appeared to be heading for Everton last summer after the Toffees agreed a deal with Newcastle United, but Tottenham swooped on transfer deadline day to sign the 27-year-old from under the noses of the Merseyside club.

The France international struggled to make his mark last season, however, only starting eight Premier League matches, and failing to score in any competition for the London club.

Sissoko is expected to be moved on ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, and according to International Business Times, Everton have made a loan offer, despite being snubbed by the midfielder before the start of last season.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Sissoko had been left out of the Tottenham squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
