Manchester United will reportedly focus on bringing the right type of individuals to the club in future transfer windows rather than target big-name players.

Manchester United will reportedly focus on bringing the right type of individuals to the club in future transfer windows rather than target superstar arrivals.

There was a switch in United's transfer policy over the summer, with three British players in the shape of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire arriving at the club.

Moves for the likes of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao in recent years have ended in disappointment, and according to the London Evening Standard, the club will start to veer away from big-name signings.

The report claims that United will instead target players in the shape of former Red Devils midfielder Darren Fletcher as they are determined to sign individuals with 'dressing-room resilience'.

The 20-time English champions are widely expected to move for a new forward at the start of 2020, with Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Haaland strongly linked with a switch.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will attempt to bounce back from last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth when they host Partizan in the Europa League on Thursday night.
