Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is reportedly progressing well with his latest injury rehabilitation and could be back as early as November.

Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly could return from injury earlier than expected, according to a report.

The 25-year-old was thought to be out with a knee injury until December at the very earliest, following an awkward twist against Tottenham Hotspur in Shanghai back in July.

According to the Daily Mail, however, the Ivorian is making excellent progress with his rehabilitation, and will travel to Spain this week to see if he can come off his crutches and edge closer to first-team training.

Bailly has had to endure an injury-plagued spell at United and his contract at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of the season.

The ex-Villarreal defender will therefore be free to speak to other clubs in January should he wish to.

The United number three has made a combined total of just 25 Premier League appearances over the last two seasons for the Red Devils, and just five under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
