Manchester City fined £35,000 by Football Assocation for anti-doping breach

The Football Association fines Manchester City £35,000 and warns them about their future conduct following a breach of the governing body's anti-doping rules.

Manchester City have been fined £35,000 by the Football Association after admitting a breach of anti-doping rules.

The Citizens accepted the charge last month after failing to provide accurate details of training sessions and player whereabouts.

City fell short of providing relevant information on three separate occasions across a 12-month period and, following an independent regulatory commission hearing, the Premier League outfit have been handed a fine and warned about their future conduct.

The FA rules in regards to keeping details up to date is in addition to the World Anti-Doping Agency and UK Anti-Doping rules, which hold individuals responsible for maintaining information on their whereabouts.

City are currently second in the Premier League table after winning three games on the spin.
