Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the second leg of their Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City continue their bid to win a first-ever Champions League crown with a fixture against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening.

The Premier League leaders hold a 2-1 advantage after the first leg of this quarter-final tie, prevailing through goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden.

However, City suffered a surprise defeat to Leeds United at the weekend, a result and performance which would have been unforeseen by manager Pep Guardiola.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the fixture at the Westfalenstadion.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: April 14 (vs. Dortmund)

Guardiola revealed on Saturday that Aguero is dealing with a number of "niggles", leading to his absence from the squad against Leeds United. While the Argentine could return to the group on Wednesday, the forward is unlikely to feature in the starting lineup.

Aymeric Laporte

Possible return date: April 14 (vs. Dortmund)

Laporte was left out of the squad for the Leeds game due to issues with his hip. The four-day turnaround is likely to lead to no risks being taken on the Frenchman.
