Arsenal are reportedly contemplating whether to make a formal approach for Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal.

Despite having failed to qualify for Europe next season, the Gunners are continuing to be linked with high-profile additions during the summer window.

However, according to Nieuwsblad, consideration is being given to making an approach for Lokonga before Euro 2020.

The 21-year-old made 33 starts for Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight this campaign, with his performances earning him one of the standby positions with his national squad ahead of the upcoming major tournament.

Although Lokonga has two years left on his contract, Arsenal are seemingly aware that his value could skyrocket with any game time for the Red Devils.

Anderlecht are unlikely to accept anything less than £13m for the defensive-minded midfielder.
