Arsenal's transfer policy and limited funds are reportedly key issues for a number of candidates in the running to replace Unai Emery as permanent manager at the club.

Possible candidates for the vacant Arsenal job are reportedly being put off by the club's transfer policy.

The Gunners are still searching for a permanent replacement for Unai Emery, with Freddie Ljungberg taking interim charge since the Spaniard was sacked last month.

As many as 10 names are understood to be on Arsenal's list of potential candidates, but The Express reports that some of their preferred choices have already ruled themselves out of the running due to concerns over transfers.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers and Belgium boss Roberto Martinez both reportedly rejected the chance to hold formal talks due to the limited funds understood to be available to anyone coming in.

Arsenal had a big-spending summer, including the club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe, but the new manager would likely want more money available to turn around a team that has only won five of 16 Premier League games this season.

Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta and recently-sacked former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti are the current front-runners to take over at the Emirates Stadium.
