How Argentina could line up against Paraguay

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni faces several tough decisions going into Tuesday's Copa America clash with Paraguay, most importantly whether or not to change a winning side.

Midfielder Guido Rodriguez came in for Leandro Paredes in their recent 1-0 victory over Uruguay, and he had an excellent outing, netting the winning goal while dominating throughout the game alongside Giovani Lo Celso and Rodrigo De Paul.

That dynamic midfield trio should be deployed again, having shown themselves to be one of the strongest units in the tournament.

Talisman Lionel Messi was again the hero in that win over Uruguay, as he inspired his side with an excellent attacking performance, assisting the winning goal along the way.

He could again be joined in the front three by Lautaro Martinez and Nicolas Gonzalez.

While Messi's new Barcelona teammate Sergio Aguero will be desperate for a starting spot, Scaloni seems set on his preferred front three, also leaving the likes of Angel Di Maria and Joaquin Correa on the bench.

After a shaky display in their opening draw with Chile, experienced centre-back Nicolas Otamendi was back to his best for Argentina in the win over Uruguay, quickly snuffing out any danger to maintain his nation's dominance.

Otamendi should be joined by exciting defender Cristian Romero at the heart of the back four, shielding Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez between the sticks.

Argentina possible starting XI: E Martinez; Molina, Romero, Otamendi, Acuna; De Paul, Lo Celso, Rodriguez; Messi, L Martinez, Gonzalez
