'Dota 2' to add two new heroes in time for 2016 International

Pit Lord and Arc Warden are expected to join the Dota 2 roster in time for the 2016 International.

Dota 2 will add two additional heroes from the original game in time for next year's International Championships.

Pit Lord and Arc Warden, the only major Heroes from the first game yet to make the jump to the sequel, will likely be seen in action in the 2016 edition of the eSport event.

"We don't have a timeline, but I would expect both to be out by TI6," Erik Johnson of developer Valve told IGN.

Valve also announced at this year's International that the player limit for Dota 2 custom matches is being increased to 25.

Now heading into Day Five, the International Dota 2 Championships is one of the biggest events on the eSport calendar with a record prize pool of $18m (£11.5m).
