Armie Hammer is reportedly dropped from the upcoming Cold War movie The Billion Dollar Spy amid the abuse allegations against him.

Armie Hammer has reportedly exited the final future project he was attached to, the Cold War thriller The Billion Dollar Spy.

Over the last few months multiple women have come forward to allege abusive and controlling behaviour on the part of the 34-year-old actor, with some claiming that he had expressed unusual sexual desires, including cannibalism.

The Call Me By Your Name star has vehemently denied the stories but has gradually dropped out of all of his future film and TV projects, and according to Variety, his leading role in Billion Dollar Spy is the last to fall.

The publication says that production on the movie, which also stars Mads Mikkelsen, has yet to begin due to coronavirus-related production delays, giving the studio ample time to cast a replacement.

Prior to the allegations, Hammer had wrapped filming on Poirot movie Death on the Nile, which has since seen its release date delayed until February 2022.

The actor has also filmed a part in Taika Waititi's upcoming sports comedy Next Goal Wins and appears in the recently-released crime thriller Crisis.
