Sky announces the launch of Sky Sports Mix, which will be available free to all Sky TV customers from the summer.

Sky has confirmed the launch of a new channel, Sky Sports Mix, which will be made available to all Sky customers at no additional cost.

The new station will launch this summer ahead of next season and will feature a range of live sporting events, including certain games from the Premier League, Football League, La Liga and MLS, as well as golf and cricket.

"We are giving millions more people access to great moments from some of the world's biggest sporting events at no extra cost," said Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis.

"It is a fantastic way for all Sky customers to be able to enjoy some of the great content that has made Sky Sports the first choice for sport. Our aim is to offer sport in a way that can engage, encourage and excite everyone even further."

Sky Sports Mix will be available to every Sky customer who takes at least a basic TV package with the satellite broadcaster.
