Football rumours from the media

Could Samir Nasri be heading back to the Premier League?

What the papers say

Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is on the radar of Everton, according to the Mail. The interest comes as the 31-year-old is allowed to return to training next month following a doping ban. The former France international is currently a free agent but could return to the Premier League at Goodison Park, the paper says.

Tottenham are said to be keeping a close eye on Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic. The Mirror reports that Spurs are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old as a possible replacement for defender Toby Alderweireld – but could face competition from Manchester United, who are reported to be long admirers of the youngster.

Liverpool could reignite their pursuit of Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski, the Mirror says. The Reds showed interest in the 24-year-old in 2016 but lost out to the Italian side. Now, the midfielder could be hesitant to extend his time in Serie A as Napoli bosses look to increase his release clause, putting the Merseyside club on alert. Jurgen Klopp and his team may have to be prepared to battle with Juventus, however, who are also said to have eyes on the midfielder.

Burnley may have to reconsider their offer if they want to bring Jay Rodriguez back to Turf Moor, The Sun reports. Reports say West Brom turned down their opening £12million offer but the 28-year-old is said to be keen on a move back to his former side as he seeks a top-flight team after the Baggies’ relegation at the end of last season.
