Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Rodrygo and Karim Benzema are missing from the Real Madrid squad for Saturday's clash with Getafe.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has left David Alaba, Rodrygo and Karim Benzema out of his squad for Saturday's La Liga contest with relegation-threatened Getafe.

Ancelotti, speaking during his pre-match press conference, confirmed that he would make changes to his XI ahead of the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Manchester City next week.

The last-four tie is delicately poised following a 1-1 draw in Madrid, and Los Blancos are not in a position to win La Liga this season, currently sitting 14 points behind leaders Barcelona.

Should the reigning champions fail to overcome Getafe, their title challenge would mathematically end.

Alaba, Rodrygo and Benzema are all expected to feature against Man City next week, but 'small knocks' have allegedly seen them left out of the clash with Getafe.

Vinicius Junior is in the squad, and Ancelotti revealed on Friday that the Brazilian would be involved at some stage but hinted at a possible substitute role.

There is also positive news on the injury front when it comes to Ferland Mendy, with the Frenchman available for selection again after spending a long spell on the sidelines with a calf issue.

Eder Militao is also in the squad, with the Brazil international missing out against Man City through suspension.

The likes of Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, Dani Ceballos, Alvaro Odriozola and Jesus Vallejo will all be hoping to receive minutes and indeed possible starts on Saturday evening.

However, as well as Alaba, Rodrygo and Benzema, there is no Dani Carvajal, with the experienced defender unavailable due to the red card that he picked up against Real Sociedad in the league last time out.

Lucas Vazquez should therefore start at right-back for the home side, while Nacho is also expected to feature at the back for the Spanish and European champions.

Real Madrid squad vs. Getafe:

Courtois, Lunin, Lopez; Militao, Vallejo, Nacho, Odriozola, Vazquez, Rudiger, Mendy; Kroos, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouameni, Ceballos; Hazard, Asensio, Vinicius, Mariano
