Barcelona reportedly believe that Real Madrid are preparing a move for highly-rated teenager Ilaix Moriba.

Barcelona reportedly believe that Real Madrid are preparing a move for Ilaix Moriba, as the Catalan giants continue to struggle to convince the youngster to sign a new deal at Camp Nou.

The 18-year-old, who made 18 appearances for Ronald Koeman's side last season, is believed to be a target for Manchester United, with his current deal due to expire next summer.

Barcelona have left the teenager out of their first-team squad for pre-season amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, and it has been suggested that he will push for an exit ahead of the new campaign.

According to Goal, the Catalan giants are of the opinion that Real Madrid are attempting to convince the youngster to make a controversial switch to the Bernabeu.

However, the report claims that representatives of Moriba have denied any contact with Carlo Ancelotti's side, as a move to the Spanish capital would be 'very difficult'.

Man United are believed to have made a 'firm offer' for the midfielder earlier this year but were informed by Barcelona that he was not for sale under any circumstances.
