Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick reportedly has major reservations about Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of next season.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is reportedly unconvinced that Cristiano Ronaldo should have a role at Manchester United next season.

Since returning to the club in August, the Portuguese has contributed 15 goals and three assists from his 29 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League.

However, the 37-year-old has not always made an impact down the middle of the attack, his presence arguably hindering United in certain departments.

According to Manchester Evening News, Rangnick has major reservations about keeping the Portuguese as his frontline striker during 2022-23.

The report suggests that a lack of alternative options is the main reason why Ronaldo has continued to lead the line, with Edinson Cavani spending periods out through injury and Marcus Rashford struggling for form.

While Ronaldo has a contract until 2023, an exit would likely be easy to facilitate should both parties agreed to a parting of the ways in the summer.
