Saturday's Premier League predictions including Southampton vs. Fulham

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Southampton vs. Fulham.

Leeds vs. Newcastle (Saturday, 12.30pm)

A potentially pivotal Premier League contest involving two teams at opposite ends of the table takes place at Elland Road on Saturday lunchtime, as relegation-threatened Leeds United play host to top-four hopefuls Newcastle United.

While the Whites have won only one of their last five league games on home soil, the visitors have picked up maximum points in four of their last five matches on the road.

We say: Leeds United 1-2 Newcastle United

Considering that Leeds have both scored and conceded in each of their last 10 games, and Newcastle doing the same in seven of their last 10, plenty of goalmouth action could be on the cards at Elland Road on Saturday.

Although the hosts are desperate to claim three valuable points in their quest to avoid the drop, we believe that Newcastle will return to winning ways and have the firepower to outscore their opponents.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Spurs (Saturday, 3.00pm)

In what has been billed as the battle for Europa Conference League football, Aston Villa welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the West Midlands for Saturday afternoon's Premier League showdown.

The two continental hopefuls were on opposite ends of 1-0 derby scorelines last time out, as Unai Emery's charges were nullified by Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Spurs came up trumps against Crystal Palace.

We say: Aston Villa 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Villa's sensational run of home wins coupled with Tottenham's miserable away day fortunes must be taken into account, but Spurs - who have won seven in a row at Villa Park - have shown plenty of fight in their trio of fixtures under Mason so far and were oh so close to pulling off a remarkable turnaround against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Lions will expect to rediscover the goalscoring touch that they left behind for their last two road trips, but a first home win over Spurs since 2008 should pass them by, as Mason's men take a hard-earned point back to base to remain in control of the fight for third-tier European football.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two Premier League teams seeking to claim back-to-back victories do battle at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as Chelsea play host to Nottingham Forest.

A 1-1 draw was played out between the two sides at the City Ground earlier this year, with a second-half equaliser from Serge Aurier cancelling out Raheem Sterling's first-half opener.

We say: Chelsea 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea will hope that their latest victory can act as a springboard for a run of positive results to end the season on a high, but they will face a fired-up Nottingham Forest side who will be desperate to further boost their survival hopes with a win on Saturday.

The Blues have struggled to score goals on home soil this term, but against a leaky Forest backline, we expect Lampard's side to have more joy in the final third and come away with maximum points.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Crystal Palace vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both aiming to bounce back from disappointing defeats last weekend, bottom-half battlers Crystal Palace and Bournemouth square off in Saturday's Premier League showdown at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles were put to the sword 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in last weekend's London derby, while the Cherries were the victims of a 3-1 Chelsea beating in front of their own fans.

We say: Crystal Palace 2-1 Bournemouth

Without Traore or Tavernier bombing forward, Bournemouth lose a considerable chunk of bite in their attacking play, but recent successes on the road for the Cherries could lead to some apprehension within the Palace camp.

Hodgson's side are far from predictable in the final third either, but their efforts to frustrate Tottenham worked well for the most part, and the Eagles can harness their hardiness at Selhurst Park to come away with all three points, but not without a fight.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Man Utd vs. Wolves (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having now assured themselves of a place in the Premier League for the 2023-24 season, Wolverhampton Wanderers return to the road to meet Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Julen Lopetegui's side confirmed their safety with a 1-0 win over West Midlands rivals Aston Villa last weekend, while the Red Devils were beaten at West Ham United by the same scoreline.

We say: Manchester United 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Man United have frequently dabbled in one-goal victories at Old Trafford this season, and however many goals the Red Devils concede on the road, they have often been near-impenetrable in front of their own fans.

A drop-off in performance from Wolves can be expected with nothing but pride on the line, but the misfiring hosts may once again be restricted to just the one goal, albeit one that will keep them in control of their Champions League destiny.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Southampton vs. Fulham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Clinging onto their Premier League status by a thread, basement club Southampton will endeavour to claim maximum points when they welcome Fulham to St Mary's on Saturday.

The Saints will be relegated to the Championship if they fail to beat the Cottagers, who are hoping to consolidate their position in the top half of the table.

We say: Southampton 1-3 Fulham

Southampton are fully aware of the importance of Saturday's fixture and they are expected to throw everything at Fulham in their bid to claim three much-needed points and keep their slim hopes of survival alive.

However, Fulham will be regarded as the favourites to come out on top at St Mary's and the return of top scorer Mitrovic should give them a boost to claim maximum points, ultimately condemning the Saints to relegation.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
