Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should once again be working without five players for Tuesday's Premier League showdown with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Teenage duo Calvin Ramsay (knee) and Stefan Bajcetic (adductor) have both been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Naby Keita is also on the sidelines with a fresh muscular injury.

Luis Diaz (knee) will not be considered for selection either, despite rejoining parts of team training, while Thiago Alcantara (hip) is also a couple of weeks away from returning to full fitness.

Having only seen "four-ish" players perform at a satisfactory level during Saturday's 4-1 loss to Manchester City, Klopp should consider a few alterations here, but Alisson Becker will hold his place in goal as ever.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk should also line up unopposed in defence, but Kostas Tsimikas is a strong contender to displace Andrew Robertson, who was run ragged at the Etihad.

With a distinct lack of midfield options, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho should be given chances to redeem themselves at Stamford Bridge, as Arthur Melo's wait for his Premier League debut goes on.

It is not impossible to envisage Klopp switching to a 4-2-3-1 for Tuesday's game, with Darwin Nunez now fully recovered from a foot problem and expected to return to the forward line.

Roberto Firmino could also offer something different in a deeper role - possibly demoting Cody Gakpo to the bench - as Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota retain their places in the final third.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho; Salah, Firmino, Jota; Nunez
