Moises Caicedo is reportedly close to an exit from Brighton & Hove Albion due to a clause in his recently-signed contract, with Arsenal showing interest in the player.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly resigned to losing midfielder Moises Caicedo in the summer.

Caicedo was told to briefly stay away from club training when he expressed his desire to join Arsenal in January.

After the closure of the window though, the Ecuadorian signed a new contract running until 2027 with the Seagulls.

However, Football Insider claims that a clause in his new deal will become active this summer, and could accelerate a transfer away from the Amex.

Arsenal are said to still be interested in the player, especially if Granit Xhaka completes his rumoured transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.

Mikel Arteta will also hope to strengthen his squad, considering that Arsenal will be playing Champions League football next season.

Caicedo has played a pivotal role in Brighton's push for European football this campaign, missing just one game all season in the league.

The 21-year-old may not be the only big-name exit from the club this summer though, with Alexis Mac Allister also rumoured to be leaving, as Liverpool are reportedly showing serious interest.
