How Arsenal could line up against Everton

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League game between Arsenal and Everton, Sports Mole looks at how Mikel Arteta's side could line up at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal play host to Everton on Sunday afternoon looking to move ahead of the Toffees in the Premier League standings.

Despite putting together a six-match unbeaten streak in the top flight, the Gunners remain two points adrift of their next opponents.

However, Mikel Arteta has watched his side recorded successive wins and clean sheets against Newcastle United and Olympiacos over the past seven days.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Arsenal could line up for the contest at the Emirates Stadium.

Having ended a two-month goal drought with strikes in successive games, Alexandre Lacazette is expected to get the nod over Eddie Nketiah in attack.

Nicolas Pepe and Mesut Ozil should return in creative roles, with the latter missing the trip to Greece in midweek due to his partner giving birth.

Lucas Torreira was also absent from the meeting with Olympiacos through illness, meaning that the Uruguay international may only be fit enough to feature among the replacements.

Despite moving out to right-back in the Europa League, Shkodran Mustafi should return to the centre to partner David Luiz, with Hector Bellerin being recalled to the team.

While Pablo Mari may be named among the replacements, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Cedric Soares are likely to be absent due to knee injuries.

Although Sead Kolasinac has recently returned to full fitness, it would be a surprise if Bukayo Saka does not get the nod at left-back.
