Channel 4 has announced that Steph's Packed Lunch will remain on air until at least the end of 2021.
The show, fronted by Steph McGovern, debuted last March during lockdown as The Steph Show, before returning in the Autumn with a new format and a new custom studio in Leeds.
Channel 4 put huge faith in Packed Lunch, with a 135-episode commitment for the show to be stripped in a weekday afternoon slot between 12.30pm and 2.10pm.
That run was due to come to an end at Easter but now the broadcaster has agreed a deal to keep the show running for the rest of the year.
"I've been having a cracking time making Packed Lunch with my brilliant show family and fab team behind the scenes," said McGovern.
"We've had some amazing guests and told some fantastic and inspirational stories. I am particularly proud of the impact our show is having on helping people, whether it's through our regular small business market and job clinic or the interviews we've done on things like fostering, food banks or mental health.
"We've heard from so many viewers who are getting lots from us, as well as having a bit of a laugh at lunchtime. I'm so chuffed we'll get to do more of this. I love it!"
While Packed Lunch's initial ratings were poor, the show has steadily grown its audience and earlier this month managed a weekly average audience of 277,000 viewers - the best to date.
