The girls won 10 stars in the latest trial on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but the reward for their troubles was an evening meal of pigeon.

As losers of the live trial head to head, the girls not only missed out on a luxury food banquet but also had to take on the next trial, 'Bar-Baric'.

The group had 12 minutes to release themselves one by one from chains using keys which were hidden among bucket loads of offal landing on them from above, before unscrewing stars from inside various boxes.

Working at pace, the girls managed to collect 10 out of the 12 stars on offer, with the clock running out just as Victoria Derbyshire managed to release herself from the chains.

Later the group were disgusted to discover that their menu for the evening would be pigeon - complete with heads and feathers.

Giovanna Fletcher took charge of the butchery and managed to make a passable meal out of the birds, with newly-elected camp leader Jordan North suggesting that they pretend they were instead eating chicken.

"It did not taste like chicken," observed AJ Pritchard. "It was bloody pigeon."

I'm A Celebrity continues Monday at 9pm on ITV, with Jessica Plummer and AJ jointly taking on the next trial, the 'Harm-oury'.
