Nico Rosberg secures pole for the Japanese Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton completes the front row for tomorrow's race.

Nico Rosberg has secured pole for the Japanese Grand Prix while Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton completes the front grid, as the third qualifying session ended prematurely after Daniil Kvyat crashed into the barrier late on.

Red flags were waved as the Red Bull driver crashed in the final qualifying session after losing control on the grass, resulting in a start from the pit lane for tomorrow's race.

Williams driver Valtteri Bottas will start on the second row alongside Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.

Felipe Massa completed the top five, finishing within a second of Rosberg's time of 1:32.584.
