Result: Real Betis 1-1 Espanyol

Walter Pandiani's last-gasp goal is enough to earn Espanyol a 1-1 draw at struggling Real Betis.

Walter Pandiani's last-gasp goal was enough to earn Espanyol a 1-1 draw at struggling Real Betis this evening.

In a poor first half, Philippe Coutinho and Rui Fonte were both off target for the visitors.

Betis came out brightly after the break, and Paulao came close with his header.

Coutinho had another effort fly wide of the goal deep into the second half before Romaric had an effort flash off target for the visitors.

As time pushed on, Ruben Castro headed in Jonathan Pereira's cross with 10 minutes to play to earn what looked like the three points for the hosts.

However, Pandiani snatched an equaliser in injury time to break Betis hearts.
