Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell believes that Ricardo Lockette should have been stronger on the interception that cost his side the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell feels that wide receiver Ricardo Lockette could have been stronger to the ball for the game-sealing interception in their Super Bowl loss.

The Seahawks drove to the goalline in the dying seconds of the match, and Bevell, along with head coach Pete Carroll, opted to throw the ball with Russell Wilson rather than hand it to running back Marshawn Lynch.

However, Malcolm Butler made the interception on the one-yard line to condemn the Seahawks to defeat, leaving Bevell to question the strength of his wideout.

"[Butler] drove hard on the ball," Bevell told reporters. "Our guys have to go hard to the ball, too."

Several Seattle players including Bruce Irvin hit out at the play call from the coaches, feeling that they should have handed the ball to Lynch.
