Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams scores two touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Steelers lead 21-14 against the Oakland Raiders at half time.

The Pittsburgh Steelers hold a 21-14 lead against the Oakland Raiders at half time, thanks to two touchdowns from backup running back DeAngelo Williams.

The Raiders got on the board early on after stopping Pittsburgh on fourth down at midfield, and quarterback Derek Carr found Michael Crabtree a few plays later for a 22-yard touchdown.

The Steelers looked to reply quickly but after a strong drive into the redzone, they could not convert a third-and-four so kicker Chris Boswell was required to put up three points and he duly converted a 34-yard field goal.

At the start of the second quarter, Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger played it to Antonio Brown for a 69-yard catch before DeAngelo Williams cashed in from three yards away, and the running back would also haul in the two-point attempt to make it 11-7.

Oakland went back in front midway through the quarter as Carr finally got Amari Cooper involved in the game, and the rookie receiver was left wide open in the endzone for a 15-yard grab and the Raiders' second touchdown of the game.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin kept his team in an aggressive style as they went for it on fourth down at the three-yard line and Williams crossed the plain to put the home team back in front.

Boswell would nail another field goal late in the first half as the home side head into the break with a touchdown lead against their AFC wildcard rivals.
