England's Zoe Smith wins gold in the women's -58kg weightlifting final on Saturday, with Michaela Breeze of Wales also making it onto the podium.

Team England's Zoe Smith has claimed the gold medal in the -58kg weightlifting final on Saturday evening, seeing off the challenge of Ndidi Winifred of Nigeria, who took silver.

Smith set the bar with a total of 207kg, and when Clementina Agricole of the Seychelles put her attempt to match it down, gold was almost guaranteed for the Englishwoman.

She then went 3kg heavier to 210kg in total, which gave her a 4kg margin to the second-placed athlete.

Michaela Breeze of Wales had the bronze medal confirmed when India's Meena Kumari was unable to go higher, which meant that there were two home nations on the podium.
